   Jetzt ist es endlich offiziell. Zwar vorerst "nur" für die Xbox360, aber PS3 und Wii werden folgen. Einzig die Preise sind ganz schön happig. Man hat mal wieder 1:1 umgerechnet, nur daß im Bundle das Spiel nicht dabei ist... :(

   Cologne, Germany – April 8, 2008 – Rock Band’s European tour will be hitting Germany this spring! Harmonix, the leading developer of music-based games, and MTV Games, a division of Viacom’s MTV Networks (NYSE: VIA, VIA.B), along with marketing and distribution partner Electronic Arts, Inc. (NASDAQ: ERTS), today confirmed plans to release the award-winning music video game Rock Band this spring in Germany.

   The German release of Rock Band will have an exclusive launch window in Germany on the Xbox 360 videogame console from Microsoft beginning on May 21. Rock Band will be available for additional platforms later this summer.

   Rock Band is an all-new platform for music fans and gamers to interact with music. The game challenges players to put together a band and tour for fame and fortune, mastering lead/bass guitar, drums and vocals. With more master recordings than any other music game, Rock Band features some of the world’s biggest rock artists and spans every genre of rock ranging from alternative and classic rock to heavy metal and punk.

   In addition to the 58 tracks from the North American release, Rock Band will feature nine new tracks spanning German, French and UK hits including:

   • Die Toten Hosen “Hier Kommt Alex” (German)
   • Juli “Perfekte Welle” (German)
   • H-Block X “Countdown to Insanity” (German)
   • Blur “Beettlebum” (English)
   • Oasis “Rock ‘n’ roll star” (English)
   • Tokio Hotel “Monsoon” (English)
   • Muse “Hysteria” (English)
   • Les Wampas “Manu Chao” (French)
   • Playmo “New Wave” (French)

   Rock Band’s unprecedented offering of over 70 songs to date currently available for purchase and download in the US will be made available in Europe beginning on Tuesday, May 27th. Each track will be available for 160 Microsoft Points on Xbox 360. Following that date, all new Rock Band Downloadable Content will be available simultaneously in the US and Europe on a weekly basis.    Since its North American release in 2007, Rock Band has garnered over 40 awards including Game Critics Award: Best of Show E3 2007 and three awards at The 11th Annual Interactive Achievement Awards including Outstanding Innovation in Gaming, Family Game of the Year, and Outstanding Achievement in Soundtrack.

   Alles zusammen inklusive Spiel für 170 Euro wären ja noch in Ordnung, oder zumindest wäre das eine gute Verhandlungsbasis. Jedoch werde ich sicher keine 240 Euro für das gesamte Set auf den Tisch legen. Selbst mit einem Import des Spiels aus den USA kommt man billiger davon. Da hat wohl jemand vor die europäischen Spieler ordentlich zu melken.

   Ich empfinde das auch als Unverschämtheit, 240€ !
   Aber so scharf bin ich auf RockBand gar nicht, mir reicht mein Guitar Hero vollkommen, die Wahrscheinlichkeit immer soviele Leute zusammenzukriegen die das dann auch spielen wollen empfinde ich (auf Dauer) eh als recht gering.
   Ich glaube ich würde eher ne richtige Band suchen anstatt dann die Leute für Rock Band zusammenzutrommeln.

   Ich glaube nicht, daß im Set das Spiel nicht enthalten ist. Das wäre ja schon eine ziemliche Unverschämtheit. Es reicht schon, daß wieder 1:1 umgerechnet wurde. Die Preisangaben stammen nicht aus der Pressemeldung!

   @dominic:
   Glaube mir, das mit den Leuten ist kein Problem. Es ist natürlich ein Party-Spiel bzw. Multiplayer, aber dafür gefällt es wirklich so ziemlich jedem. Selbst meine Mutter (56 Jahre!) hat mich gebeten, ihr eine Woche die PS3 und Rockband auszuleihen, damit sie üben kann. Das ganze macht in der Gruppe einfach unendlich viel Spaß und eine Langzeitmotivation ist auf jeden Fall gegeben, die wesentlich höher ist als bei Guitar Hero (was ich ebenfalls besitze). Außerdem erscheinen jede Woche neue Songs als DLC (auch das bekommen die Jungs von GH3 überhaupt nicht hin).
   Selbst zu zweit macht das schon unheimlich viel Spaß (z.B. Schlagzeug und Gitarre), man muß ja nicht immer voll besetzt sein.

   @marco: Das mit dem 240 Euros scheint schon zu stimmen. Eurogamer.net hat ein Interview mit dem Lead Designer von Rock Band geführt und ihn mit den hohen Preisen in Europa konfrontiert, worauf dieser versuchte sich raus zu reden.
