   ich hab eben eine email einladung zu dem programm bekommen, da steht was von legalen P2P von Musik usw.
   mit google fand ich jetzt eigentlich nichts genaues, aber das kann doch nicht legaler sein als all die anderen Programme oder ?

   ob es legal ist oder nicht kommt darauf an was du damit machst.

   Will heißen wenn du urheberrechtlich Geschütztes Material saugst ist es illegal.

   Da wären wir mal wieder bei dem Punkt auf den der CCC immer hinweist: Wie findet der Enduser heraus, ob ein Angebot legal ist oder nicht?

   Bei diesem Angebot dacht ich zuerst an ein Netz zum verteilen von Musik unter Creative Commons Lizenz u.s.w. (Wegen dem "Artists? Click here to register with us" Teil unten links) Ein Blick unter Top Albums und Top Songs brachte dann aber Resultate die mit Sicherheit nicht unter CC Lizenz stehen. Ein anschliessender Blick in die FAQ ergibt:

   Q: Is iMesh legal to use? I don't want to go to jail...
   Answer: The iMesh service is 100% legal.

   Hm, die Standard Antwort von zwielichtigen Angeboten auf diese Frage.

   Die allwissende Müllhalde meint nun:
   "October 25, 2005, iMesh revealed the first RIAA-approved P2P service (iMesh 6), which allows users residing in North America and Canada to listen to music of their choice from a large library for a monthly fee. iMesh users can permanently purchase tracks for $0.99 each. In addition to the paid library, iMesh 6 allows users to access large amounts of "non-copyrighted" music and video files, free of charge. Attempts to download copyrighted material not provided by the music industry and record labels are blocked by iMesh, before the download is complete by using acoustic fingerprinting provided by Audible Magic."
   Davon sehe ich aber auf der iMesh Seite selber nichts.

   Ich würde da lieber auch die Finger von lassen.
