The Unsanity Application Enchancer (APE) has in fact been remove as of LCC version 2.4 due to the issues it was causing on Mac OS 10.5 (Leopard).

APE was included as it allowed our high-end features, such as side-way scrolling, hyperscrolling and so forth to be easily transfered to other programs using the APE framework. In fact the whole concept behind APE is that it is a framework, which via a daemon allows third party application designers (such as Logitech) such as us to write modules (better known has APEs or haxies) to interact with Mac OSX applications more seamlessly. APE has been used in countless applications supported up until OSX10.4 , but developed issues >ith OSX10.5. APE is now again fully functional on OSX10.5

Using APE is a tried and tested way of accessing other applications to make our product work more seamlessly and integrated with the various Mac OSX application.
